Saturday Evening Event 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Becky Thatcher Riverboat Cruise 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm The Mississippi River was employed as the main transportation means for goods and services until the 1900's. Take a cruise with other IANA participants and speakers on the Becky Thatcher Riverboat down the Mississippi River while dining and being entertained by Dixieland Jazz Band. Sunday, May 8, 2005 Day Trip Discover Saint Louis Tour 9:00 am to 5:00 pm On this trip you will stop at the Saint Louis Gateway Arch to take a tram ride to the top if it suits your fancy, or if not a film on how it was built, Monument to the Dream. See Historic neighborhoods in Saint Louis, such as Soulard, Lafayette Square and Forest Park. Last, you will take a tour of Saint Louis' own Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Your tour of the Brewery will include a visit to the century old Clydesdale stable, the elegant Brew House and the Bevo Packaging Plant. Monday, May 8, 2005 Day Trip - Post Conference Get Your Kicks on Route 66 - Meramec Caverns and Canoeing 8:00 am to 5:00pm A beautiful Spring day is the perfect time to travel on Route 66 - also called the "Mother Road" and "Main Street of America" - was the road of choice for motorists traveling between Chicago and Santa Monica during the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Your first stop will be at the famed Chain of Rocks Bridge which crosses the Mississippi River north of downtown Saint Louis. Walk on to the bridge and see two historic water intake towers in the river. A short stop at Route 66 State Park will be next. The park sits on the former town of Times Beach. Learn about the town's fascinating history and its sad demise. Travel outside of the metro Saint Louis on Route 66 to Meramec Caverns, where Jesse James once hid out. Here you'll be treated to a barbeque lunch and then a choice of activities either a six-mile canoe trip is available (rafts also available) or enjoy a tour of Meramec Caverns and a short cruise on the Meramec. You'll also have time to visit the gift shop where you'll find lots of Route 66 memorabilia to take home. Fee for this event - $59 per person (see order form) (rates based on 2 people per canoe)

This conference is designed to educate, inform and provide networking opportunities to the primary audience of: Primary Care physicians, Geriatricians, Family Practice physicians, Nutritionists, Dietitians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Residents and Fellows and all other health care professionals.

Registration Fee The fee for conference registration is $225.00 if booked by March 15, 2005. If booked after March 16, 2005 registration is $300.00. STATEMENTS FOR JOINTLY SPONSORED ACTIVITIES:
ACCREDITATION: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, the St. Louis VAMC Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center, Boomer Educational Consultants LLC and the VA Employee Education System (EES). Saint Louis University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide CME activities for physicians.
AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION: Saint Louis University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15.5 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
VALIDATION OF CONTENT Saint Louis University School of Medicine follows the ACCME policy on Validation of Content for CME activities which require that:
- All recommendations involving clinical medicine must be based on evidence that is accepted within the profession of medicine as adequate justification for their indications and contraindications in the care of patients.
- All scientific research referred to, reported or used in CME in support or justification of a patient care recommendation must conform to the generally accepted standards of experimental design, data collection and analysis.

AMERICAN NURSES CREDENTIALING CENTER (ANCC) The VA Employee Education System is accredited as a provider of continuing education nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The VA Employee Education System designates this education activity for 21.0 contact hours in nursing education; 05.ST.V15.NUTR.B.
COMMISSION ON DIETETIC REGISTRATION (CDR) The VA employee Education System, provider number VA003, is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); from June 18, 2004 to May 31, 2007. Registered dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) will receive 17.5 continuing professional education units CPEUs) for completion of this educational program/material. This educational activity is designated CPEU Level 2 as defined by CDR.

PLEASE NOTE: For participants requesting ANCC or CDR credits, a certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants and accreditation records will be on file at the Employee Education System. In order to receive a certificate from EES, you must sign in at the beginning of this activity, complete an evaluation, attend 100% of the program, and pick up your own certificate at the conclusion of the program (certificates will not be mailed). EES cannot issue certificates for less than 100 % participation as required by accrediting body regulations.
EMPLOYEE EDUCATION SYSTEM DISCLOSURE POLICY The Employee Education System (EES) must insure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor to all EES sponsored activities. The intent of this disclosure is not to prevent faculty, author, planning committee member, or presenter (discloser) with a significant financial or other relationship from presenting materials, but rather to provide participants with information with which they may make their own judgments. It remains for the participant to determine whether the discloser's interests or relationships influence the materials presented with regard to exposition or conclusion.
