Sponsorship Opportunities
Currently there is availability for four industry-sponsored symposia from sponsors. (2 lunch and 2 breakfast).
Sponsor can
contribute at the Platinum, Gold, and Silver levels as well as contributing
to individual meetings, symposia, lecture sessions or social events
at the conference for a fee. We
also have booth space available and sponsorship expsosure items
such as tote bags, notepads, pens, name tags and other items that
will be provided to all participants. Sponsors can also offer to
contribute to the Gala Dinner on a Riverboat cruise or a jazz band
at this event among others.

Inquiries will be responded to within 48 hours from time of submission.
The deadline
for sponsorship opportunities is no later than January 15, 2005.
Slots will be confirmed by January 31, 2005. Upon confirmation,
hosts are required to return all documents and fees needed by the
requested deadline or they forfeit their slot.
Symposia slots
are based on sponsorship of direct symposium or through sponsorship
of Platinum or Gold level status with IANA. Companies
offering industry symposia must provide CME from another source
with the understanding that all ACCME standards and essential areas
will be upheld and practiced. All symposia will be listed in IANA
Program information provided before and during the Meeting.
Rules and
Regulations
IANA Industry Sponsored Symposia is defined as informational presentations
and discussions by industry representatives and others speaking
on behalf of a company provide scientific and educational benefits.
In connections with such presentations, meals (but not entertainment)
may be offered so long as they are modest and occur in a venue or
manner conducive to learning and provide scientific or educational
value. Inclusion of healthcare professional's spouses or other guests
is not appropriate.
Promotional
activities related to symposia must adhere to the following guidelines:
(IANA reserves the right to remove materials that do not comply
or to cancel a symposium outright at your expense if guidelines
are not followed).
1.) As mentioned
above, all symposia must provide AMA PRA Category 1 credit hours
that will be provided by Veterans Administration in Saint Louis
or SLU CME office. It is expected that all confirmed speakers would
provide expert, up-to-date clinical information that is presented
with fair balance.
2.) Upon
provision of speakers for your program, IANA may provide feedback
on any individuals for your consideration. Current IANA Board Members
may not be recruited to speak. Any changes in speakers must be sent
to IANA in writing.
3.) IANA
reserves the right to edit the title of your session if it is not
a true depiction of the content being presented.
4.) IANA
reserves the right to approve and/or deny the medical communication
companies that may be hired to manage the program.
5.) IANA
requires that the symposia evaluation summary(ies) be sent to our
offices upon completion.
6.) IANA
may conduct an independent evaluation of your session. IANA may
also assign monitors to sessions using IANA leaders and staff.
7.) The
exact wording of all promotional materials must be pre-approved
in writing by IANA.
8.) On-site
promotions may include door hangers and special fliers, which can
be distributed by hotel staff only. Detailed information will be
included in confirmation packets. Distribution of these materials
must be approved by IANA and will not be permitted during IANA educational
sessions or in the registration area. Promotional materials may
be distributed by host companies in their booths located in the
exhibit hall if applicable. One sign may be used directly outside
the assigned meeting room on the day of the meeting. One sign may
also be placed in the Registration Area no earlier than 24 hours
prior to the session. Text for signs must be approved by IANA and
cannot be larger than 22" x 28". Additional signs or signs exceeding
specified size will be removed and destroyed immediately.
9.) IANA will
enclose a list of the symposia in the on-site registration materials.
IANA will also place a sign in the registration area listing the
date, time and location of all the symposia.
10.) All
symposium staff are required to remain inside or directly outside
their assigned meeting room on the day of the symposium.
11.) IANA staff
will attempt to coordinate subject matter of symposia in each time
slot to avoid duplication, overlap, or competition. However, in
some cases this situation may be unavoidable in order to honor preferences
of host companies.
12.) Speakers
for industry symposia can attend all IANA lectures and symposia.
13.) When
confirming attendance for the session, hosts of symposia agree to
give preference to pre-registered attendees. Hosts reserve the right
to place all other individuals on a waiting list or decline their
attendance if they are not a member of the target audience.
